Mostly around the south SF Bay Area / Santa Cruz Mountains. I go out most weekends, and over the years I've been in most of the parks
and open space preserves in the general area.
What I consider to be the "local" hiking venues - state / county parks, open space preserves, etc adds up to
about 270,000 acres, with around 1200 miles of trail, in 70 or so parks.
